some of our best selling items. With gold reaching all time highs per ounze, it is a good time to prospect. I started gold prospecting in 1985, I have dredged in Idaho, California and Oregon. I started using metal detectors in 1993,and I do have some favorite detectors. Using the different makes and models, I have found nuggets in Oregon, Nevada, California, Idaho, Washington and Australia.
I enjoy relic hunting and have found items dating back to WW1 and WW2, I have also found Indian wars and US calvary items.
Here in Central Oregon, several hundred US soldiers trained for WW2, leaving behind ammunition, test missles, dog tags, silver coins, knives, bayonettes, uniform emblems and much more. The pioneers left items behind, the old timer prospectors, the old time loggers, all left items behind of value. Read my story about finding trade tokens.
Gold dredging is still legal in Oregon. There are two main gold belts in Oregon, Southern and Eastern. Grants pass, Medford, Roseburg areas in Douglas County, Josephine county, many places still in Oregon you can find gold nuggets. You can access the Bureau of Land Management and Oregon Department of forestry for laws. Gold wheels and recirculating sluices are also great in these areas.
With the purchase of Minelab GPX gold detectors, I will give free, personal in the field training at your convenience. The Minelab GPX 5000 is also a great relic detector. We can do field training in either Central Eastern Oregon or Southern Oregon. I give lifetime support and instruction with all purchases.
